Sugar Craving

As I sit around and wait for the postman to deliver the masses of supplies I ordered in excitement, what I should be doing is experimenting with new cake recipes that are both firm & flavorful. This is so that when it comes time to turn them into works of art I am ready with a good base.
What I have been doing with my time instead? I’ve been making strawberry pie! To anyone who’s just in it for the pictures, let me remind you that I always work on flavor first and presentation comes later. To anyone else…. strawberry pie is best when the strawberries are left uncooked, on top of freshly made vanilla custard, and topped with rich and creamy whipped cream dusted with powdered sugar. It is heaven to my taste buds. I’m not going to lie, I tried this recipe because what I really wanted was to eat it.
