I realize that it has been 4 days since The Meet Market ended, but that was quite the event to prepare for. In total I think Mel and I must have put around 32 hours of preparation work into all food we brought, and then another 18 hours at the actual event. It was well worth the effort though.
 The most satisfying part of cooking is watching the enjoyment people get when they take that first bite, even more so when they come back for seconds and thirds! I don’t think I will ever get tired of hearing how someone enjoyed a meal or dessert that I or Mel have prepared. I think the next logical solution to continue getting my high off compliments would be to open a location where people can come and I can watch their enjoyment everyday. We’ll see though. It was widely suggested that we do that by many of our satisfied customers and friends, but it is a big step. On a different note, Alison (the girl we can thank for organizing, running, and making TMM fun) suggested that the next time we join, we put quotes next to all of our food. For example, next to the steak, tomato & cream cheese sandwich we could write “Best sandwich I have ever had” – Costa. Or next to my apple pies “Better than sex” – Peri. I thought that was a great idea!

On that note though, I don’t think Mel and I will be participating in the TMM in May as there will be a free BBQ at the event. No matter how yummy our food may be, free food always trumps food you have to pay for. We will however be participating in the one in June though.  It will be at the same time and venue as the SYNCH festival so I have a feeling that it will be an amazing event to take part in. In the mean time, I hope we are able to get many orders for small catering gigs. In the mean time I also greatly need to go and  get more business cards printed. We were out for this event and I had to resort to writing our information on pieces of paper. I can not even begin to tell you how unprofessional that made me feel. All I can say is, I hope the food spoke for itself and that people will look past the minor inconvenience.

Other than that, I have nothing new to report other than the fact that I think I may try a recipe for a cheesecake brownie in the near future. I have a craving for it and apparently, so do other people. In the mean time, here are some pictures from the event!!!!
